Our Vision for the Future of Public Schools
ECPPS Strategic Plan
In October 2023, the Board of Education approved a new strategic plan for ECPPS. This plan is based on feedback and input from a year-long visioning process that included focus groups, surveys, inspiration visits, and deep conversations on what we want to be true for the future of our great community. What follows is a combination of those conversations and discussions.
Our vision for the future of our public schools is Reimagining education for all to ensure every learner is academically challenged and prepared for life.
Our plan is organized by four major priorities that guide our work. Strategies determine our specific focus for each priority. We invite you to explore our plan below and join us as we work to ensure all young people have access to their hopes and dreams!

What if every young person in Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools graduated high school, on time, and prepared for the next phase of their lives? What if every student was empowered to advocate for themselves and their hopes and dreams? And, what if every student found community and a sense of belonging within their school? We believe that all of these things are possible in ECPPS. To achieve this possible future, we must reimagine our schools so they transform and work for all students.
