Dear Parent/Guardian,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. ECPPS is excited to begin a new school year with your child and your family. The first day of school, August 17th is fast approaching. All ECPPS students will begin the school year in remote status. However, the school board will reassess this decision for the second semester. This letter is to confirm that you have selected Plan B Hybrid for your child when the opportunity is available for some face-to-face instruction.
Plan B Hybrid is a blended model which consists of some face-to-face instruction and some remote instruction. ECPPS used feedback from families to develop a thorough and robust remote instruction plan for the upcoming school year. The ECPPS Remote Instruction Plan is available on the district website at www.ecpps.k12.nc.us. Please view the plan to help you understand the expectations for remote learning.
Your child's school and your child’s teacher will continue to communicate with you to keep you abreast of the latest information regarding the start of the 2020-2021 school year. We look forward to beginning the new school year and together, we are ECPPS strong!

Bienvenidos al año escolar 2020-2021. Estoy emocionado(a) de comenzar un nuevo año escolar con su hijo(a) y su familia. El primer día de clases es el 17 de agosto lo cual se acerca rápidamente. Todos los estudiantes de ECPPS comenzarán el año escolar en aprendizaje remoto. Sin embargo, la junta escolar volverá a evaluar esta decisión para el segundo semestre. Esta carta es para confirmar que usted ha seleccionado el Plan B Híbrido para su hijo(a) cuando la oportunidad esté disponible para recibir alguna instrucción cara a cara.
El Plan B Híbrido es un modelo combinado que consta de alguna instrucción cara a cara y alguna instrucción remota. ECPPS utilizó los comentarios de las familias para desarrollar un plan de instrucción remota completo y sólido para el próximo año escolar.
