COA Board of Trustees Opportunity

The Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Board of Education (“the board”) is responsible for appointing four (4) members of the College of The Albemarle (“COA”) Board of Trustees in accordance with G.S. 115D-12.

The board will only appoint persons meeting the current requirements of G.S. 115D-12, which include that the person (1) cannot be a member or employee of the board; (2) must be a resident of Pasquotank County or a county contiguous to Pasquotank County; (3) cannot have been employed full time by COA within the five (5) years prior to the appointment; and (4) cannot be the spouse or child of a person currently employed full time by COA.

Per ECPPS Policy 2237, the board is hereby providing notice that one appointment to the COA Board of Trustees will be approved during their committee meeting in June 2023, to replace an outgoing member.  The Board is currently accepting resumes and letters of interest from interested members of the community.  The deadline for submitting a resume and letter of interest is May 5, 2023.  No resumes and letters of interest will be accepted after this date.
