2026-27 High School Course Catalog Now Available

2026-27 High School Course Catalog Now Available

Preparation for high school graduation begins long before a student enters 9th grade. The skills, habits, and attitudes developed in preschool and throughout the elementary years lay the foundation for success in middle school, high school, and beyond.

By 5th grade, students begin exploring potential career pathways and may apply for acceptance into the ECPPS Micro School, which opened this year. As students move into middle school, planning becomes even more intentional.

Eighth graders have several exciting opportunities to consider as they prepare for high school, including:

  • ECP Early College, where students can earn a high school diploma along with college credit and credentials at no cost
  • The Aviation Academy at Northeastern High School, offering opportunities to pursue a pilot’s license or drone certification
  • The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, which provides a rigorous, inquiry-based instructional program that can lead to the IB Diploma at Pasquotank County High School. (Northeastern High School is currently under consideration for candidacy and is expected to offer MYP courses in 2026-27.)

ECPPS is proud to announce the release of the 2026-27 High School Planning Guide and Course Catalog. This comprehensive resource is designed to help students and families navigate course options, plan for academic success, and explore the diverse academic and career pathways available for the upcoming school year.

Course fairs and 8th grade assemblies are already underway. Families of middle and high school students will receive information from their schools regarding specific dates and times for these events. Students and families are encouraged to review the catalog together and discuss course selections with school counselors to ensure academic plans align with individual goals and interests.

Scholarship Opportunities for Juniors & Seniors
Families of 11th and 12th grade students are encouraged to explore available Scholarship Opportunities on the ECPPS website. Hundreds of scholarships are listed, and there is still time to apply and be considered for funding that can assist with community college or university expenses. Students should contact their school counselor for additional information and support.
