Board of Education Emergency Meeting Notice 9.23.21

The ECPPS Board of Education will hold an emergency meeting on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering the extended virtual learning plan and whether to change the direction given to staff about developing the virtual learning plan. The meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room at Central Elementary School, 1059 US 17 South.  Parking will be available in the front parking lot with the entrance to the meeting at the side door of the building.  

Board of Education meetings are open to the public with the exception of closed sessions.  Face coverings are required inside all school facilities. There will be limited capacity for in-person attendance.  Public comment will not be allowed unless the Board votes in favor of allowing it during the emergency meeting and then it would be limited for the purpose of the emergency meeting.   Public comment for all other reasons will be available during the regular meeting on September 27, 2021.  Anyone wishing to make a comment at the emergency meeting on September 23, 2021, should it be allowed, may email their comment to the Office of the Superintendent at superintendent@ecpps.k12.nc.us. The deadline for submission is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Public comments will be read during the meeting and must include the sender’s first and last name.  Individuals wishing to make a comment in person at the emergency meeting on September 23, 2021, should it be allowed, may sign-in immediately preceding the meeting to speak before the board as part of a public comments segment.  The meeting will be available via livestream at www.ecpps.k12.nc.us
