ECPPS Emergency Meeting Notice

Governor Cooper issued an Executive Order today regarding school re-entry for North Carolina public schools. The Elizabeth City-Pasquotank County Board of Education will hold an emergency meeting on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 p.m., via livestream, in order (1) to discuss school re-entry; (2) to discuss and consider issues that may arise in the immediate future as a plan for returning to in-class instruction; (3) to hold a closed session pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6) in order to discuss one or more personnel matters that are confidential under N.C.G.S. Chapter 115C articles 21A and 22; and (4) take action as necessary to ensure compliance with any mandate related to re-entry for in-person instruction and/or to otherwise comply with any legal requirements that may become effective before the Board can hold a special meeting or hold its regular meeting scheduled for Sept. 28, 2020. The Board will not announce any final decisions for next steps during the emergency meeting.


The emergency meeting will be held at Pasquotank Elementary School, 1407 Peartree Road. In accordance with gathering limitations, the public will have the option to view remotely via livestream at www.ecpps.k12.nc.us.
