Mrs. Riddick

Books on table, ABC

From the Desk of Mrs. Riddick:

Math class has begun diving into our curriculum full force! We have learned to multiply and divide by Powers of 10 as well as how to convert within the metric system using the powers of 10; learned to read and write decimals in four different forms and reviewed 4th grade skills. In the next couple of week, students will work with comparing and rounding decimals as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with decimals and whole numbers.

Homework is a great way to practice the skills we are currently working on in class. There will often also be skills that we have already learned so that students do not forget them. Students are not turning in their homework weekly. Please check your student’s agenda each night to see what their homework is - they are required to write it down daily! Students should be bringing home their math and science notebooks to help with homework. These act as their textbooks since we do not have them for Math and Science. These notebooks have examples, steps to follow and other helpful information for completing homework.
