ECPPS will use Canvas as the platform for remote instruction. Canvas syncs with PowerSchool which allows parents to see their child’s grades when logging into the PowerSchool portal. Parents and students with limited internet access will find the free Canvas App for parents and students helpful and user friendly. Check out the videos on how to download the app for your phone as well as other videos under the "How to Videos" on this page.
The ECPPS Remote Instruction Plan provided the framework for delivering quality remote instruction to ALL students within the district and "focused on the 15 components centered around preparing for student learning during remote instruction days" (NCDPI).
The plan provides a foundation for blended learning as students phase into schools and reflects the voices of stakeholders across the district. This plan capitalizes on identified positives while addressing the challenges experienced from the emergency remote learning in the spring of 2019.
Students will receive grades for all assessments and assignments. These grades will be a part of the student’s permanent record. High school grades earned during remote learning will be calculated into their GPA and will be recorded on their official transcript. Teachers will record all grades in PowerSchool and parents will be able to see their student progress in the parent portal.
